A Challenge

An ink piece that I'm really proud of. Of all the things that have entered my gallery in the past while this is really a well done piece. It was posted as a challenge to other artists to color.

I think my greatest loves in the world are art, food, my puppy babies, and my family. Depending on the situation though the order can change. Sometimes I love my dogs more than my siblings if you can grasp that.

The oldest art in my gallery was pretty much anime inspired, but in the past two years I've been trying to move away from it, and I think I'm doing a good job. My current style is very Disney inspired, though I'm still learning and trying to incorporate more realism while keeping my style cartoony and fun. Though I like the "Marvel" style of comics I could just never get into drawing all my characters buff and angular, I tend to lean more towards curves than angles.

As you can see, I am the classic "librarian-chic" in all I do, aside from the fact that I prefer to be barefoot or wear sandals whenever I can.

There was a presentation of it at my school today HANNAH! I'm so happy and still all pumped from it! (Yes I'm talking mostly to Hannah. XD Sorry)

AND AND AND AND GUESS WHAT!? I got to participate in the WAR DANCE! Not only did I stand in the circle around the dancer but afterwards when the speaker called for someone brave enough to come out into the circle and play the dancer's enemy I was the only one brave enough (granted, most the circle was small children ages three and under who probably would have cried) and HANNAH I'm so proud of myself! I was so brave I didn't even flinch when he thrust the bird skull staff right at my face. And you know what!? The speaker said I was so brave that I earn myself a shot at the dancer, so because I had stood my ground "to his challenge" I got the right to pose my own.... granted... all I had to do was touch him... but MAN it was so cool. Though my knees were knocking around and it was a challenge to stand still as stone while he was dancing around me. Usually a coward like me would flinch but I didn't flinch. I'm so proud of myself. (Granted, I knew the skull wouldn't touch me or anything XD but still. )
